SCSA – Sociedade Construtora de Santo António is a family-run construction company based in Madeira, specialising in construction, renovation and property refurbishment.
Our team brings together skilled professionals with over 30 years of experience in the construction industry, with expertise developed over decades of working on residential properties, renovations and a wide range of construction projects.
We value the craftsmanship of our experienced tradesmen, the knowledge acquired over the years and the close relationships we establish with our clients.
As a family-run business, we deliberately take on a limited number of projects at a time. This allows us to remain personally involved throughout every stage of construction, from structural work to the finishing details.
Growing sustainably, honouring our commitments and maintaining high standards of workmanship are the principles that guide everything we do.

The photos are only part of the story
What you see on this site is a small part of what we have built. For most of our family's history, nobody took pictures. My grandfather and my father built houses, walls, roofs and terraces all over the island, and when a job was finished they moved on to the next one. A camera on site was not something anyone thought about.
We apologise for the quality and framing of some of the photos. They were taken on site, on a phone, while the work was going on. They are real pictures of real work, taken by the people who built it.
So please take this page as a glimpse, not a full record. Many of our houses exist only in the places where they still stand, and in the memory of the families who live in them.

Wherever you are from
Many of our clients have made Madeira their home, and some are still abroad while we build. You have one person in charge of your project and receive regular photos and progress updates, in English, Portuguese or German.
Paperwork in order
We are a licensed construction company, fully insured, with our tax and social security affairs up to date.
